The Sorting Hat
Do you belong with the brave Gryffindors? A smart Ravenclaw or, maybe, you're a loyal Hufflepuff? Or are you one to slither with other snakes in Slytherin?
Wizarding Liaison Office
Oh, you're a big kid now and you've graduated from Hogwarts or any other Wizarding School now, huh? Think you're ready for the big, bad world and you're off to teach as a Professor or opened up a shop in Hogsmeade or managed to land a job in the Ministry? Well, submit your resume here and we'll see if you make the cut!
The Pensieve
A shallow stone basin with ancient runes and strange symbols carved on it stands in the middle of an empty room in the Department of Mysteries. Filled with silvery cloud like substances, memories of Wizards and Witches alike... What could these memories contain? One "diary" thread per character account only.
Wizarding Britain
Britain is one of the greatest Wizarding nations in the world. It survived the Second Wizarding War and has been in a time of peace for a hundred and nineteen solid years. Will it change now in 2117?
Hogsmeade Village
Hogsmeade is the only all-wizarding village in Britain. It is located at the northwest of Hogwarts. Students may sometimes come on weekend trips, but only third year students and above with guardian permission are allowed to visit.
Entrance Hall
A huge chamber that opens up from the main heavy front doors, with torches on the walls that are lit at all times. The ceiling is so high it is barely visible despite it being on the ground floor. A set of doors opens up to the Great Hall with staircases going to the first floor, the dungeons near the Slytherin common room, the kitchens and Hufflepuff common room. There is also a door here leading to where the First Years wait before their Sorting. Perhaps most important of all, however, are the enormous hourglasses along the back wall full of gemstones of red, blue, green, and yellow - the point counts for each House.
Great Hall
A vast chamber with a high, enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Taking up the majority of the Great Hall's space are four long tables each representing a house. Closest to the doors of the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor with each House crest hanging respectfully over the tables. The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room where they can overlook the feasting students.
Classrooms
Classes at Hogwarts are taught in a variety of locations about the castle. Some, such as Charms, are taught in classrooms inside the castle. No two classrooms are the same as Professors like to change a room to their liking. Even abandoned classrooms are never alike.
The Library
A magnificent room filled with thousands of books which are filled with subjects ranging from potions to the various creatures in the wizard world; both good and bad. The books however are not to be tampered with because powerful spells have been placed on each tome. Be sure too keep the noise down or the Librarian will intervene.

Common Rooms
Each House's Common Room is hidden in one part of the castle and protected by passwords or riddles to make sure only those of the proper House may enter. The Common Room is where most students spend their free time and hang about if they don't feel like going to the Grounds or the Great Hall.
Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom
The bathroom's wooden cubicles are worn from ill care and even the marble sinks are chipped, some even missing portions of their structure. The sinks, which form a row under a large cracked and spotted mirror, have copper taps, one of which has a tiny snake scratched on the side. There is a myth about the meaning behind this but over the years it has remained just that.
Hospital Wing
Located on the Third floor behind double doors, the Hospital Wing caters to the sick and injured students and employees of Hogwarts. Clean beds are plenty and there's always stock of needed medical equipment in case of an emergency. The nurse is strict with the visiting hours so be sure to come between the hours of nine A.M. and eight P.M.

Hallways and Staircases
Nowhere special, but still most of the castle. They say the staircases like to change, and sometimes the corridors do too. Whichever way you go to get somewhere one day might not lead you to the same place another. The hallways have many portraits along them that students are advised to immediately ask directions from if they get lost. If you don't, you might end up higher than the castle itself should be and show up three months later and two years older, dressed in a loincloth and covered in snow.
Dungeons
The dungeons of Hogwarts Castle are located under the school and it is colder there than in the main castle. The Potions classroom is located in the dungeons, as is the entrance to the Slytherin common room and dormitories.
Kitchens
Located right under the Great Hall and accessed by tickling the pear on a painting along the corridor to the Hufflepuff common room, the kitchens of Hogwarts house most of the house elves in the school. There is a mock-up of the Great Hall there, with each table, so the house elves may lay out meals on them for the school's magic to send it up during mealtimes.
Room of Requirement
A secret room within Hogwarts that only appears when a person is in great need of it. The room then transforms itself into whatever the witch or wizard needs it to be at that moment in time, although there are some limitations. For example, it cannot create food, as that is one of the five Principal Exceptions to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. It is believed that the room is also Unplottable.
Owlery
The Owlery is a room on the top of Hogwarts Castle's West Tower, where the school owls and the owls belonging to students live during the school year. The Owlery is a circular stone room and the floor is entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles.
Astronomy Tower
The Astronomy Tower is the tallest tower at Hogwarts Castle. It is where students study the stars and planets through their telescopes in Astronomy lessons usually done at midnight where the stars are best seen. The tower is usually out-of-bounds except for classes.
Staff Offices
Each Professor's office is different from the other, reflecting their owner's unique (or lack thereof) personality. Some offices are open to student and some are closed, only opening its doors for a nasty detention. Don't try to break in as most of our Professors put protection and privacy wards around their sanctum.
The Lake
The Castle of Hogwarts stands on a cliff; below it is the Lake. Half a mile in diameter, it is home to an assortment of water creatures like Merfolk and Grindylows. You'll often see the Giant Squid as well!

Forbidden Forest
At the edges of Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest acts as its borders, separating it and the outside Muggle world. The forest is strictly off limits to students - unless in certain situations... Not that you would want to go exploring with the forest's medley of creatures.
Quidditch Pitch
A favorite hangout among students, the Quidditch Pitch is probably the most exciting place to be when there's a match. The pitch is a huge oval, five hundred feet long and a hundred and eighty feet wide, with a small central circle of approximately two feet in diameter. At each end stands three goal posts of different heights.
Greenhouses
Three greenhouses that are home to several magical plants. Herbology classes are usually held here. Due to the contents and potential of some plants, there are charms placed on each greenhouse to prevent unwanted guest and after hour students.
The Whomping Willow
Standing in the center of the castle grounds, the Whomping Willow attacks anyone and everyone who comes within reach of its branches. Extremely violent, the only way to stop this raging plant is with a particular knot on the trunk.
